BOOKING – The recipient just emails with the order number to book a course.
We run courses across each week throughout the year from 10am to 9pm. Booking course dates are subject to availability and may alter. Glass work can be collected the following day or week once cooled down. Alternatively prepaid P&P can be arranged. Please see Course Booking Guide.
COURSE SUMMARY
An exciting introduction three hour course offering hands on experience into a variety of glass blowing techniques from gathering glass, shaping and applying colour. No experience required. Continuing students are welcome. Students create a series of glass pieces from paperweights to blown vessels to take home.
During this glass blowing course students will learn the basic skills of glassmaking in order to make their own vessels and learn the way glass is blown and sculpted. Students will discover the exciting potential of blowing glass and own creativity by choice of colour and form. Students learn techniques such as:
• Gathering Glass From The Furnace
• Shaping and Tooling The Molten Glass
• Applying Colour
• Finishing The Base
