An exciting introduction three hour course offering hands on experience into a variety of glass blowing techniques from gathering glass, shaping and applying colour. No experience required.Continuing students are welcome. Students create a series of glass pieces from paperweights to blown vessels to take home.
During this glass blowing course students will learn the basic skills of glassmaking in order to make their own vessels and learn the way glass is blown and sculpted. Students will discover the exciting potential of blowing glass and own creativity by choice of colour and form. Students learn techniques such as:
• Gathering Glass From The Furnace
• Shaping and Tooling The Molten Glass
• Applying Colour
• Finishing The Base
