Salt Glass Studio will be exhibited in a selected group show in August 2012 at the Belfry Arts Centre (Norfolk) in association with the Contemporary Glass Society.
Ebb (III) is a collaborative glass installation by Max Lamb and Fiona Wilkes drawing from castings of Norfolk’s coast line investigating the tides; lugworms; marine sediments and organic materials. This is a challenge to all glassmakers out there to come up with a unique take on game playing and the ups and downs of life. An exhibition that will be part of the C.G.S. Glass Games project will take place in August 2012 in the Belfry Arts Centre, Overstrand, while athletes from all over the world will test themselves to the limit at the Olympic Games. Like athletes, artists are constantly challenging themselves with new ideas, new techniques, stretching to the limit, both physically and intellectually.
People will be invited to participate in some of the games and be challenged to design some of their own. Workshops will be held to help realize ideas.
